Serenading the Hill since 1981, The Loreleis are UNC’s premier a cappella group sponsored by the General Alumni Association. Named after the sirens who would swim the Rhine River and lead sailors to their deaths with their enchanting voices, The Loreleis have spent the last 40 years performing across the world.
In recent years, The Loreleis have won local and national acclaim being featured on the CBS Sunday Morning show, NBC’s The Today Show and ABC’s Good Morning America and have been guests on North Carolina radio and television programs. Some of our proudest moments include performing at the White House, opening for Jay Leno twice, and winning 18 Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards (CARAs).
Our repertoire includes a wide variety of styles, such as contemporary pop, R&B, country, alternative, oldies, and holiday classics. We perform for both campus and community events and release a new album every other year. Check out our repertoire, including our most recent EP release, Somewhere Between!
